Job overview

The Assistant Recruitment Specialist will work within designated geographical areas to work with the Recruitment Team to deliver the Workforce Plan.

Working with the Recruitment Team and the Recruitment Service Manager to deliver to the agreed Workforce Plan, ensuring a cost-effective service, operating within Employment Legislation, Trust Policies and Procedures, and best HR Practice, leading the Team to provide high levels of customer service at all times.

The post holder will liaise with Sector Management Teams within the Trust to ensure they have the right workforce in place at the right time to deliver safe, effective, and well-led services.

They will plan, develop, and execute to promote vacancies.

The Assistant Recruitment Specialist will contribute towards developing, improving, and speeding up recruitment systems, and processes to improve the customer service approach to internal/external applicants within the Trust, and the candidate experience. They will support in ensuring that the Recruitment and Selection Service Level Agreements are adhered to.

There is a expectation to be on site at Chelmsford EOC atleast once a week.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will support the Recruitment Specialists with the day-to-day management of local recruitment within designated geographical areas for the Trust.

They will research, develop, and manage attraction activities to target candidates, including recruitment campaigns, working with colleagues and external partners, and Higher Education providers, to deliver against the Workforce Plan, ensuring at all times that the essential requirements of safe, legal and values-based recruitment are met in a timely manner with customer-focused approach.

The post holder will support on recruitment for a specific location working closely and collaboratively with the Recruitment Team to ensure delivery of a high-quality, customer-focused recruitment and selection service to managers and staff within the Trust, in accordance with Trust Policies and Procedures, NHS Employers Standards, Employment Legislation, and National Policy.

1. CIPD Level 5, or equivalent relevant level of recruitment and management experience within a Recruitment or HR related role

Skills

2. Knowledge of process and systems in the NHS (Agenda for Change Terms and Conditions)
3. Organisation and time management skills to manage and deliver a range of tasks and projects to deadline
4. Ability to plan and implement objectives

Experience

5. Experience of working within Recruitment and delivering Recruitment Campaigns
6. Experience of working with, and dealing with, internal and external stakeholders
7. Experience of producing work to a high standard and against tight deadlines.
8. Ability to analyse and interpret information, pre-empt and evaluate issues, and recommend an appropriate course of action to address the issues

Desirable criteria

9. Experience of leading on Recruitment Campaigns
10. Experience in overseas recruitment
