Job Description
We’re looking for a Customer Service Assistant to join our team at One Stop, a subsidiary of Tesco. As a Customer Service Assistant, you will work in a fast-paced retail environment where no day is the same.
You will play an important role in the day-to-day operations of our store by providing excellent customer service, stocking shelves, processing payments, and helping maintain the store’s appearance.
As the customer is at the heart of everything we do, you will constantly look for ways to improve service through on-the-job coaching and feedback.
With your guidance, your store will remain a safe place to work and shop.
You will be Responsible For
1. Serving customers with passion and pride, providing natural and excellent service.
2. Encouraging customers to give feedback through the ‘have your say’ survey.
3. Working across all store areas including online, tills, replenishment, vending, and stock routines to meet customer needs.
4. Practicing safety in all work activities based on training.
5. Participating in seasonal, community, and charity events to create an inclusive atmosphere.
6. Being knowledgeable about store performance and understanding your role in delivering profit.
7. Living the company values, making everyone feel welcome, and following policies.
8. Ensuring accurate clock-in and clock-out for proper payment.
9. Following security procedures and wearing safety equipment to keep everyone safe.
10. Following the 'think 25' policy when serving age-restricted products.
11. Responding promptly to assistance calls or interventions at self-service checkouts, explaining actions to customers.
12. Keeping the store clean, tidy, and organized, ensuring aisles are clear.
13. Occasionally managing shifts in the absence of supervisors.
14. Following all safety and legal training to ensure safety for all.
15. If applicable, managing the Post Office operations and passing necessary background checks.
