Job Summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Mental Health Nurse to join our Mental Health team at Gatwick IRC located in Gatwick.
Senior Mental Health Nurse will support mental health services, assist GPs, and work collaboratively with the Clinical Lead to provide advanced clinical practice and leadership.
Hours: 37.5 per week, Monday to Sunday with rotating weekend shifts, typically 08:00 to 18:00hrs.
Salary: £48,200-£54,397 per annum depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for assessment and ongoing management of patients' mental health needs.
- Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team as an autonomous practitioner managing a caseload of patients, assessing their physical, social and psychological needs to develop a holistic health care plan.
- Contribute to nursing strategy and vision, delivering evidence based care, seeking and acting on patient feedback.
- Deliver non-judgemental care, building therapeutic relationships and promoting professional boundaries.
- Play an active part in assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patients' care following policies and procedures and considering safeguarding.
Qualifications
- Registered Occupational Therapist or Social Worker with HCPC/NMC registration.
- Experience in mental health settings, developing knowledge and understanding of this patient group.
- Evidence of continued professional development.
- Experience collaborating with other agencies and stakeholders in a multi-disciplinary environment.
