Tylers Green First School would like to appoint a friendly, helpful and efficient School Bursar who will be able to support our children, families and staff members in a busy office environment.

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 22.5 hours per week, Term time only +5 days

Required: From November 2025


About us

Tylers Green First School is a two-form entry village infant school in the beautiful village of Penn in Buckinghamshire. We believe that children should be at the heart of the school, and the school at the heart of the village. Our children and staff are happy here, and children achieve well.

The role involves working closely with the Headteacher and Governing Body to effectively manage our financial and HR systems. You will have responsibility for maintaining the financial framework of the School, including the financial and HR systems, maintaining the Single Central Record, monthly close and financial control processes.

You will have a key role in the delivery and management of the annual financial budget. The ideal candidate will have experience of financial management systems in a school or local authority.

In return we can offer a caring and friendly village school environment, with a supportive staff and fabulous children. The school is maintained by Buckinghamshire, and support is available through Bursar’s meetings, telephone and email support and regular training and development opportunities.
