In this role, you'll help create a safe, nurturing environment where children and young people feel valued, supported, and empowered. Key Responsibilities As a Residential Social Care Worker, your main duties will include: Providing high-quality care and support to young people in a residential setting. Meeting the physical and emotional needs of the young people. Engaging in activities that promote their development and well-being. Working collaboratively with team members to create a safe and supportive environment. Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to care plans. Participating in shift work, including weekends and bank holidays. Required Skills and Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A minimum of 6 months experience working children, young people or adults, either in a voluntary, work or other relevant setting. A background in supporting individuals with diverse needs. A commitment to ongoing professional development and training. Working Hours and Benefits This role involves working shifts, including: Early shifts: 7 am - 3:00 pm Late shifts: 2:00 pm - 10:00 pm Sleep in shift weekly 2:00-11pm A rota system, working every other weekend, with a 4-week rolling rota. We offer generous enhancements for shift work, including additional pay for hours worked after 8 pm, weekends, and bank holidays. This can significantly increase your annual earnings.
