**Duties/Responsibilities:**
* Display courtesy and professionalism at all times while providing timely, helpful service to patients, visitors, physicians, and associates.
* Check food temperatures before and during meal service; monitor quality of product.
* Distribute and collect patient meal trays and nourishments.
* Assist dieticians by obtaining information related to patient acceptance of meals and food quality.
* Perform daily inventory and ordering of food and supplies; maintain cleanliness of assigned areas.
* Stock and organize areas according to procedures.
* Prepare and operate the dishwasher, unload and return dishes, trays, pots, and small wares.
* Clean and close dish room according to procedure.
* Wash pots and pans as per set procedures.
* Set up areas such as tray assembly and hot food/beverage stations, following written instructions.
* Place menu items on trays in proper portions and deliver special or late trays as directed.
* Return supplies and food to proper locations; clean and organize areas.
* Clean trucks, carts, equipment, and other assigned areas.

**Education/Experience:** Must be able to read, write, and communicate verbally at a 10th-grade level. On-the-job training of approximately one month is provided.
**Registration/Certification:** ServeSafe certification is a plus.
**Physical/Environmental Requirements:** Frequent bending, carrying, pushing, reaching, standing, stooping, walking, and lifting over 10 lbs. Occasional climbing stairs and lifting over 50-100 lbs. Use of hearing, sight, speech, smell, and touch frequently. Constant keyboard and phone use. Requires concentration and problem-solving skills.
