About the role An exciting opportunity has opened within our Corporate Governance and Secretariat function as a Company Secretariat Assistant. We are building our Group culture and team, and this role will provide wide ranging support on company secretarial and corporate governance matters. Role Purpose: This role supports the effective management of the Societys Board and its subsidiary companies, ensuring all corporate reporting and disclosures meet legal requirements. Youll work with a wide range of stakeholders across the Society, including Executive and Non-Executive Directors, Enterprise Leaders, external auditors, legal counsel, and key suppliers. The role involves working both independently and as part of a team to maintain high standards of governance and ensure records and processes are accurate, compliant, and well-managed. We reserve the right toclosethis advertearlyif we receive ahigh volumeof suitable applications About you You will be a team player with a strong desire to learn and to assist on a range of matters across the Secretariat function. You will ideally be educated to degree level, have studied or started studying for a company secretarial qualification. You will be highly organised with the ability to work well under pressure and manage stakeholder expectations with strong alignment to the Group's values. To be successful in this role its essential you have: Support on company secretarial and corporate governance matters, Ensuring the Societys Board and its subsidiary companies are effectively managed All associated corporate reporting and disclosures are managed appropriately and in line with applicable legal requirements. Writing papers and doing the minutes Desirable experience will be: Previous experience of providing corporate governance/company secretarial support within an in-house environment or within private practice is desirable.
