Job Description:
Brook Street (UK) Ltd is recruiting a Senior Clerical Officer for our leading Public Sector client, Education Authority Northern Ireland, Omagh Office.
As the temporary Senior Clerical Officer in the Transport Administration Department, Omagh, you will provide advice and assistance to Education Authority officers, customers, the public, and other professionals as directed by the Programme Manager.
You will provide administrative support for the daily operational staff and be proficient in MS Packages such as Excel, Outlook, and Word. You will handle spreadsheets, databases, typing, and word-processing duties.
Minimum Qualifications and Skills:
* Have the equivalent of five GCSEs at grade C or above and at least one year of administrative experience in an office environment.
* Good customer service skills, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* A team player with the ability to work independently.
Job Responsibilities:
* Provide administrative support using IT equipment, including word processing, databases, spreadsheets, email, fax, intranet, and internet facilities.
* Answer calls, handle queries, and record conversations accurately, escalating issues as necessary.
* Assist in collecting data and statistical information to support departmental work.
* Prepare letters, minutes, notes, and other clerical tasks as directed.
* Respond tactfully and diplomatically to queries and issues.
* Order supplies, monitor stationery, and manage diaries for stakeholders.
* Maintain efficient recording and filing systems.
* Delegate tasks in the absence of senior management.

Compensation and Hours:
The rate of pay is £14.53 per hour, with a 36-hour workweek, Monday to Friday.
