We are currently seeking a Senior Early Years Practitioner to become a key part of our nurturing and committed team. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape our growing setting, with a view to transition to our brand-new purpose-built site in early 2026.
About the Role
As a Senior Early Years Practitioner, you'll support the delivery of high-quality early education and care, while playing an active role in leading and mentoring our team. You'll help create a calm, stimulating, and inspiring environment where every child can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
* Create a safe, secure, and nurturing environment that promotes children's well-being
* Observe, assess, and record children's development through accurate learning journeys
* Build strong, trusting relationships with children, families, and colleagues
* Actively contribute to the day-to-day running of the room and the wider nursery
* Uphold safeguarding, health & safety, and all relevant policies and procedures
* Support and mentor junior team members, leading by example
* Contribute to the planning and development of our exciting transition to a new site in 2026
What We're Looking For
* A minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years/Childcare (or equivalent)
* At least 2 years' experience in an early years setting (senior or leadership experience a bonus)
* Sound knowledge of the EYFS and child development
* A nurturing, enthusiastic, and reliable individual who is passionate about early years
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* A commitment to high standards and continuous professional development
