Exciting Opportunity for a Field Service Engineer.
We are searching for an experienced Field Service Engineerto join our talented team based in Peterborough.
As a Field Service Engineer, you will provide worldwide onsite technical assistance to customers during: overhaul, repair, maintenance, fault finding and installation and commissioning of steam turbines, reciprocating gas compressors and gearboxes. You will also provide a full engineering service support for our customers, and develop and manage exceptional customer relationships through excellence in terms of technical capability and also through personal interaction with customers.
What Needs To Be Done?
1. To deliver a very high technical and professional level of service to our customers, with significant focus on safety and quality. The aim is to achieve on time in full, to schedule and right first time
2. Provide detailed Site Reports to the required standard that among other things highlight actions which may need to be taken and seek opportunities for improvement
3. Supervise the activities of Company or Customer supplied Technicians, be responsible for their day-to-day safety requirements, site activities and discipline
4. Follow health and safety at work procedures and complete required Risk Assessments
What Do You Need To Bring?
5. Knowledge of site maintenance and repair of Steam Turbines and Reciprocating Compressors
6. Develop and manage good customer relationships through the provision of professional customer management
7. Experience and a strong focus on health and safety
8. Ability to supervise others at site during complex installation, commissioning and maintenance activities
9. Ability to work as part of a team or as an individual
10. Experienced working on international assignments including where English is not the main language
11. Proficient in Microsoft Office products and able to produce detailed written technical documents including but not limited to risk assessments, site reports, root cause analysis of failures, method statements, scopes of work and project plans
12. Hold a full UK driving licence
13. Knowledge of site installation and commissioning of Steam Turbines
14. Training to be provided if required
15. Knowledge of site installation and commissioning of Reciprocating Compressors
16. Training to be provided if required. Knowledge of site maintenance and repair of Gearboxes
17. Training to be provided if required
18. Previous experience working offshore
