We provide healthcare services to people living in Bridgend, Merthyr Tydfil and Rhondda Cynon Taf county borough areas, serving a population of around 450,000. We are ideally situated between Waless capital city, Porthcawl to the west, and the stunning scenery in the Brecon Beacons. Job Overview

An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, flexible and motivated Band 2 Healthcare Support Worker with an interest in patient care services to join our friendly, busy team.

The successful applicant will be based at the Maternity Department in Prince Charles Hospital but may be expected to work at other sites within Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board as required. Applicants will be employed on a permanent contract basis.


Main duties of the job

The Post Holder will undertake delegated duties, under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse or Midwife, and following a period of training and completion of core competencies.

This post does not carry managerial responsibility. The post holder will always work under the direction and supervision of a qualified member of staff.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
