My client is an ambitious SME-sized manufacturing organisation based near to Tamworth. They have an employee-focused culture and aremitted to development. Due to continued business growth, they are now looking to recruit a Buyer/Demand Planner to join the team. The role is office-based, but the organisation offers a four-day working week (Monday to Thursday). It is a full-time role with hourspressed into four days.
Your new role
The Buyer-Demand Planner will be responsible for managing the purchasing of goods and materials to ensure availability whilst ensuring stock level optimisation. The post holder will resolve stock shortage issues and manage run-outs. The Buyer-Planner will liaise with suppliers throughout the buying process and regarding New Product Introduction RFQ's. Additionally, the role will work closely with the engineering teams to understand needs, analyse data and support forecasting.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful, you will be a Planner-Buyer with a background from a manufacturing, engineering or automotive environment. You will have strong experience of raising purchase orders, managing MRP systems, analysing data and forecasting and liaising with suppliers and internal stakeholders. You will be analytical and highly organised, hardworking and solution-focused, and have greatmunication skills.
