As a Handyman/ Maintenance Technician you will be responsible for performing a wide range of repairs, maintenance and improvements tasks in a family run food manufacturing factory. This role requires practical skills, problem solving ability and the ability to work independently or as part of a team to keep facilities safe, functional, and well maintained. Your main accountabilities will be to: · Perform general repairs and maintenance carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, drywall, flooring etc. · Inspect buildings and equipment to identify issues needing repair · Install fixtures, appliances, doors, windows and cabinetry. · Conduct routine preventive maintenance tasks. · Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner. · Maintain tools, equipment and work areas in good condition. · Follow Safety procedures and training updates SOP. · Keep records of work completed and materials used. · Coordinate with Site Supervisor and other external contractors. · Indoor & Outdoor work settings. Requirements Essential skills: · Proven experience in general maintenance or handyman work. · Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical systems. · Ability to use hand and power tools safely. · Strong problem solving and trouble shooting skills. · Good Physical condition ability to lift heavy objects. · Time management and organizational skills. · Good communicator good team player. · Valid driving license. Desirable: · Trade Certification either WRAS/BTEC/Cabinet/Carpenter/Basic Safe Electrical cert. · Previous experience in property maintenance or facilities management. · Basic Health & Safety certification Safe Workings.
