About the role
We are looking to recruit a Catering Assistant to join our Catering team in Hafan Deg Residential Care Home in Lampeter, on a permanent basis.
The role includes:
1. general kitchen duties including washing up of equipment and utensils and the cleaning of all areas and surrounds
2. to prepare and serve an evening meal to the residents
3. maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness in all areas of the kitchen at all times
4. ensuring observance of Food Safety and Environmental Health standards
On a day to day basis you will:
5. undertake the preparation and serving of an evening meal for the residents to include beverages
6. general kitchen duties including washing up of equipment and utensils and the cleaning of all areas and surrounds;
7. setting up the tables and clearing if required
8. recording the temperature of food at the point of service
9. ensuring observance of Food Safety and Environmental Health standards
10. ensuring EEC standards on Manual Handling
11. general Health and Safety of kitchen including hazardous equipment
