You’ll work closely with internal departments and externalstakeholders to deliver high-quality planning outcomes andcontinuous improvement across the Development Services unit.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Lead statutory planning assessments anddecision-making
* Coordinate agenda items and reports for Council andDAP
* Provide professional leadership and mentoring to planningstaff
* Ensure compliance with statutory obligations andprocesses
* Represent the City at external forums including SAT andWAPC
* Oversee workflow, performance and operational planning
* Drive business process improvements and strategicalignment
* Support recruitment and development of planningofficers.
* Maintain accurate records and reporting for planningfunctions
What You’ll Bring
We’re looking for a planning leader with:
* Tertiary qualifications in Urban and Regional Planning
* Strong knowledge of WA’s planning system andlegislation
* Leadership and mentoring experience
* Excellent communication and decision-making skills
* Experience in statutory planning within localgovernment
