Role Overview
As a Planning Surveyor based at our modern Manchester offices, you will be part of the Acquisition & Planning team. This technical SME role involves managing delivery activities related to securing planning rights necessary for project delivery. Projects may include MNO customer upgrades, replacements, new sites, and specialist projects involving Solar PV and EV solutions. The Planning Surveyor will work across multiple client programmes, requiring teamwork and technical expertise in planning activities.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct site surveys and planning appraisals to facilitate project delivery.
* Prepare and manage planning applications throughout the entire process.
* Collaborate with stakeholders, providing expert planning advice and managing work volumes with internal teams and suppliers.
* Perform research and analysis to identify trends affecting project progression.
* Conduct feasibility studies and site surveys for new telecom infrastructure.
* Engage with local authorities, developers, and community stakeholders to meet regulatory requirements.
* Analyze network performance data and recommend improvements.
* Prepare detailed planning reports and documentation.
* Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
* Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
* Provide technical support and mentorship to junior team members.
* Assess market data, prepare planning applications, and advise clients on regulations and legal matters.
* Evaluate the impact of economic, social, and environmental factors on projects.
Desired Attributes
