Job Title: Junior Account Executive

Salary: £35,000–£40,000 DOE

Role Summary:
You’ll begin by managing and developing an established book of business, typically personal lines, sole traders, and SME risks under £5000 premium with exposure to motor trade, haulage, liability, and more. You’ll handle around 30–40 renewals a month while supporting senior Account Executives with smaller policy servicing gain exposure. There are no new business targets initially; your focus will be on retention, quality service, and account development, with a clear progression route to work towards new business, bigger accounts and policies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop a clear understanding of your clients' risks and insurance needs
• Manage the full renewal cycle and maintain a strong retention rate
• Identify gaps in cover and advise on solutions using a range of carriers and MGAs
• Support Account Executives with smaller policies, develop relationships and grow from referrals, ensuring smooth service delivery
• Communicate effectively with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders
• Proactively build a pipeline and assist with referrals and cross-sell opportunities
• Maintain FCA compliance and follow internal processes
• Consistently deliver high service standards and hit retention and growth KPIs
Requirements:
• 1–2 years of insurance experience (e.g., broking, underwriting, claims, or personal lines with some commercial exposure)
• Strong understanding of general insurance principles and products
• Excellent organisational and client relationship skills
• Comfortable managing high volumes of smaller cases with attention to detail
• Confident communicator, team player, and self-motivated learner
• Experience using Acturis (preferred)
• Working toward Cert CII or willingness to begin
