Calling all Late Night ‘Nightlife Aficionados’! The Standard is one of the most culturally engaged hotels in the world, with an inclusive spirit and true creative attitude. Your role
As Sweeties Host you will be a key part of a specialist team showcasing early evening cocktails through to late-night lounge and party vibes. Think floor-to-ceiling views, exceptional drinks, and a soundtrack from our ever-evolving DJ and live music line-up curated by our Music & Culture team.
Sweeties Host is the all important first and last point of contact; meeting guests on arrival, escorting them to their tables, managing reservations and guestlists, providing information and cloakroom services, and overseeing and enhancing guest experience.
You will also be passionate about service, very well organised with a strong working knowledge of managing reservations, bar operations and the order of service, and guest experience. We expect busy events, so prior experience working in a high-volume venue is important.
Do you have what it takes to be our Sweeties Host at The Standard
1. Prior experience as a Host or Receptionist, ideally gained in a similar busy bar, ‘Lifestyle’ boutique hotel or restaurant & bar pop-up
2. Confident managing reservations and guest experience, with a natural flair for service, and the ability to build genuine relationships with guests
3. Highly social, motivated, and pro-active; acting with professionalism and positivity in all interactions
4. Prior experience using SevenRooms and POS is a plus
5. As well as Host experience, we are actively seeking candidates with a diverse range of lifestyle skills and welcome applications from those in the arts, music, and entertainment industries
