Field Service Engineer
Main Mission
To provide expert commissioning technical support troubleshooting upgrade work and maintenance services for our machinery at customer sites ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction. Traveling both within the Uk and overseas.
Key Responsibilities
* Troubleshoot machine downtime and perform overall machine assessments and provide recommendations for repair or improved productivity.
* Perform new machine start-up inspections and operations training.
* Oversee onsite parts removal installation and assembly.
* Recommend parts and service solutions to improve machine uptime maintenance and operation.
* Provide written post-visit reports with a visit overview observations recommendations and accompanying quote for recommended parts.
* Based on field observations and customer feedback provide Rotex Engineering with equipment design and feature recommendations.
* Maintain a reasonable on-call status to answer customer questions via phone and email.
* Assist in developing department documents standards and processes as necessary.
Ideal Candidate Profile
* Associates Degree in Engineering or related field; or 1-2 years related mechanical engineering / maintenance / field service experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Willingness to travel (at short notice) and work on customer sites both in the UK and overseas 75% of the time. Valid Driving License.
* Experience in industrial machinery or manufacturing environments.
* Strong technical knowledge of mechanical. Electrical knowledge would be appreciated. Basic knowledge of Solidworks (3D) and AutoCAD (2D) or similar platforms preferred.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
* Customer-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to service.
* Good communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
* Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure
* Good PC skills (Word Excel).
