Office Manager
Due to the relocation of our current Office Manager, Taylor Road Primary School has an exciting opportunity for a skilled and highly organised professional to join our team from August 2026, or earlier if possible to support a full handover.
This is a key role within the school, providing essential leadership within the administrative team and supporting the smooth and efficient running of school operations.
Salary:
NJC Grade 6, Points 15–18
£32,061 – £34,434 per annum
(£29,088 – £31,241 pro rata)
Hours:
37 hours per week
8:00am – 4:00pm (3:30pm finish on Fridays)
30-minute unpaid lunch break
Working pattern:
Term time plus 3 weeks
(5 INSET days and 2 weeks holiday working, to be agreed with the Business Manager)
About the role
The Office Manager plays a pivotal role in leading the school office function, supporting financial processes, monitoring attendance and providing a professional, welcoming point of contact for pupils, families, staff and external agencies.
We are looking for someone who:
Has excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
Is highly organised, proactive and able to manage competing priorities
Demonstrates strong attention to detail and accuracy
Can support the school’s financial processes and budgets
Is an effective problem‑solver who can work calmly under pressure
Enjoys working as part of a team and contributing to a positive school culture
Experience of working in a school or educational setting would be an advantage.
