Aureos are seeking a highly skilled SCADA and Protection Engineer to support the commissioning of a SCADA and protection system, ensuring seamless integration, coordination, and security. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in SCADA commissioning strategies, planning, and supplier coordination, along with expertise in industrial communication protocols, network security, and protection relays.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and execute SCADA system commissioning strategies and plans.
* Coordinate SCADA commissioning activities with equipment suppliers and stakeholders.
* Configure, test, and commission SCADA system components, including RTUs, HMIs, and network infrastructure.
* Ensure proper implementation and integration of ICS protocols such as IEC 61850, IEC 104, and Modbus TCP.
* Configure and commission Ethernet switches, firewalls, VLANs, and other network components.
* Configure, test, and commission Protection components, including Protection and Control Relays.
* Implement ICS cybersecurity best practices following IEC 62443 framework.
* Work with SEL devices, including RTAC, SEL-3350, SEL-2731, and SEL-3355.
* Perform system validation, testing, and troubleshooting of SCADA and protection systems.
* Provide technical support and training to engineers and technicians as needed.
Qualifications & Experience
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, or a related field.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in SCADA system commissioning.
* Strong knowledge of ICS protocols (IEC 61850, IEC 104, Modbus TCP).
* Hands-on experience with networking and cybersecurity frameworks (IEC 62443).
* Proven experience in configuring and commissioning industrial communication equipment (switches, firewalls, VLANs).
* Familiarity with SEL devices and protection relays (ABB, SEL, Tapcon).
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and coordination skills to work with multiple stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience in power systems, substation automation, and grid protection.
* Industry certifications in ICS cybersecurity or networking (e.g., IEC 62443, CISSP, CCNP).
* Prior experience working with utility companies or industrial automation companies.
