ROLE OVERVIEW:
The Cardo Group are currently recruiting for an Apprentice Planner to join our team based in the Kingston upon Thames area.
In this role, the Apprentice Planner will learn to schedule and coordinate responsive repairs. Working closely with senior planners, supervisors, and field operatives, you will gain valuable hands-on experience in job scheduling, resource allocation, and client communication.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Booking appointments with contractors and operatives for repairs.
* Planning and prioritising repairs based on urgency and available resources.
* Allocating work to operatives, ensuring efficient use of time and resources.
* Ensuring materials are available on site before work commences.
* Communicating with customers regarding appointment times, progress updates, and any issues.
* Handling customer inquiries and complaints, escalating issues to supervisors when necessary.
* Providing excellent customer service throughout the repair process.
* Using computer systems to manage repairs data, including updating customer records and tracking progress.
* Processing paperwork, such as invoices and purchase orders.
* Assisting with other administrative tasks related to the repairs service.
* Identifying and resolving issues related to repairs, such as material shortages or access problems.
* Working effectively as part of a team to deliver a high-quality repairs service.
* Ensuring work is carried out safely and in accordance with health and safety regulations.
* Identifying and reporting any health and safety concerns.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
* Educational Background: 5 GCSEs (A-C or 4-9) including English and Maths, plus additional qualifications such as A Levels, BTEC, or T Level.
* Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for interacting with customers, contractors, and colleagues.
* Customer Service Skills: A passion for providing excellent customer service is crucial.
* Organisational Skills: Strong organisational and time-management skills are needed to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
* IT Skills: Proficiency in using computer systems, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and relevant repairs and housing IT systems.
* Problem-Solving Skills: The ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently and effectively.
* Teamwork Skills: The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* Attention to detail: Accurate record keeping and data entry are essential.
* Enthusiasm and a willingness to learn: Eagerness to learn new skills and gain experience in the repairs planning field.
