Small ANimal Veterinary Surgeon - Independent Practice

Apply Save An established and growing independent first opinion practice is seeking an experienced Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join their friendly and supportive team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a confident GP vet looking to work in a well-equipped practice with strong clinical standards, modern facilities, and a genuine focus on professional development.
You'll join a progressive, five-year-old independent practice experiencing consistent year-on-year growth. The role involves a varied caseload of consultations, medical work, and routine soft tissue surgery, with a roughly 50/50 split between consults and surgery (with flexibility to lean towards medicine or surgery depending on your interests).
The practice is exceptionally well equipped, offering advanced diagnostic and surgical facilities including a CT scanner and virtually everything expected of a modern veterinary practice. Standard consultation times are 20 minutes, allowing for high-quality patient care, and certificates or further development are actively supported.
This role would suit a GP vet with 2+ years' experience who is confident managing a broad first-opinion caseload and enjoys working collaboratively within a close-knit team.
1. Full-time ideally around 40 hours per week (flexibility available)
2. Practice hours: MondayFriday 9am6pm, Saturday 9am12pm
3. 1 in 4 Saturday morning rota only (no additional out-of-hours)
4. Some sole charge responsibility at weekends
5. On-site parking available
6. Located in a quieter coastal setting with a relaxed pace of life
A trial day forms part of the interview process, and accommodation is available for up to three months to support relocation if required.
