Job Summary
Medacs Healthcare is looking for a dedicated and experienced Registered General Nurse (RGN) to join our team at Chelmsford prison. This is a unique opportunity to deliver high-quality nursing care in a secure environment, supporting patients with both primary and acute healthcare needs.

Key Responsibilities
1. Deliver safe, effective and patient-centred care
2. Conduct clinical assessments, administer treatments, and manage discharges or referrals
3. Support first reception screenings and emergency responses
4. Lead and participate in primary care clinics (e.g. wound care)
5. Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to audits
6. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and support junior staff
Requirements
Essential:
7. NMC-registered RGN
8. Prison clearance
9. At least six months' recent UK-based experience
10. Clinical examination and venepuncture skills
11. Experience working in multidisciplinary teams
12. Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
13. A&E or assessment unit experience
14. Previous experience in prison healthcare
15. Strong communication and autonomous decision-making skills
