About the role
The Facilities and Health and Safety Manager will have responsibility for the security, maintenance, and services of work facilities, ensuring they meet the needs of the organisation and its employees. The role takes a lead position in Health and Safety and oversees the effective delivery of facilities management.
Location & Working Conditions
* Office based – Early Years operates a range of regional offices plus HQ in Belfast; base is negotiable.
* Hours: 37 hours per week.
* Tenure: Permanent.
* Salary: NJC Scale Point 29-32 (£38,626-£41,511) per annum pro‑rata.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the security, maintenance, and services of work facilities. Lead the organisation’s Health and Safety programme. Manage budgets, contract procurement systems, and report preparation. Deliver staff training on health, safety, and facility use.
Essential Criteria
* A recognised qualification in Health and Safety Management (e.g., NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent).
* At least one year of experience in facilities management, including health and safety, budget management, contract and procurement systems, and reporting.
* Experience in developing and delivering training.
* A full current driving licence with the right to use a vehicle for official purposes, or access to reliable transport.
Desirable Criteria
* NEBOSH National General Certificate or equivalent competency.
