Role Overview
We are seeking a commercially astute and detail-driven Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Analyst to join our growing Corporate Development team. This role plays a critical part in supporting the evaluation and execution of strategic acquisitions, investments, partnerships, and divestments across the Group.
You will contribute to all stages of the deal lifecycle — from origination and screening through to financial modelling, due diligence, and post-merger integration tracking. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with a solid grasp of corporate finance and a natural curiosity about market trends, competitors, and industry dynamics.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious analyst looking to develop M&A experience in a dynamic, fast-paced, and globally connected environment.
Role Responsibilities
* Perform financial modelling, valuation analysis (DCF, precedent transactions, comparables), and scenario modelling to evaluate the attractiveness of prospective M&A opportunities.
* Support the execution of live deals, including preparation of investment memoranda, board materials, and management presentations.
* Coordinate and manage cross-functional due diligence processes (legal, tax, finance, operations, HR, compliance).
* Conduct strategic and competitive landscape analysis to identify acquisition and partnership targets aligned with the Group’s growth strategy.
* Assist in negotiation preparation and support senior leadership during deal discussions.
* Liaise with internal stakeholders (Finance, Legal, Risk, Business Heads) and external advisors (investment banks, consultants, legal counsel).
* Monitor post-acquisition performance, integration progress, and synergy delivery.
* Stay abreast of industry developments, regulatory changes, and competitor activity.
Experience / Competences
Essential
* Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related discipline.
* Demonstrated experience in M&A, investment banking, corporate finance, private equity, or transaction services.
* Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; experience building integrated three-statement financial models.
* Solid understanding of corporate finance, valuation techniques, and transaction structuring.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to distil complex information into clear insights.
* Proactive self-starter with the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
* Confident communicator who can present to senior stakeholders and challenge assumptions constructively.
* Highly analytical with a rigorous, data-driven mindset.
* Collaborative, team-oriented approach with strong interpersonal skills.
* Discreet and professional, with the highest standards of integrity and confidentiality.
Desired
* Master’s degree or MBA from a top-tier institution.
* Professional designation (CFA, ACA, or CPA) desirable.
* Experience in financial services, fintech, or market infrastructure sectors.
