Overview A great opportunity to join a nationally recognised infrastructure consultancy delivering geotechnical ground investigations across the UK. This role is ideal for an early-career Geologist or Engineering Geologist who’s eager to take on a technically varied position involving site work, logging, testing, and reporting. You’ll be part of a collaborative team working on infrastructure projects ranging from major roads and bridges to large-scale urban development. Key Responsibilities Assist in planning, supervision, and programming of ground investigation projects across the UK Log soil and rock in accordance with BS5930:2015A1:2020 Carry out in-situ testing and sampling to technical standards Prepare and review Health & Safety documentation for site works Liaise with clients, engineers, and contractors throughout site phases Conduct post-site monitoring and inspections Manage and collate field data using internal systems Contribute to the production of factual reports Adhere to company health and safety rules at all times Requirements Degree in Geology, Engineering Geology, or a related discipline Full UK driving licence Strong attention to detail and data accuracy Comfortable working outdoors across a variety of sites Flexible, mobile, and committed to UK travel as required Confident communicator, able to liaise across teams and clients Familiar with Microsoft Office and standard GI data systems What’s on Offer Exposure to major national infrastructure projects Structured training and career progression Support toward Chartership (e.g. CGeol, RoGEP) Employee benefits including holidays, pension, and wellbeing resources A varied role combining field and desk-based work
