Apera Asset Management (“Apera”) is a leading pan-European mid-market private debt investor with €4.3bn of AUM with offices in London, Munich, Paris and Luxembourg. Apera’s Private Debt strategy focuses on senior secured financings in the UK, Ireland, DACH, the Nordic region, France and Benelux. Target investments range from £10 million to £150 million with emphasis on providing capital solutions to mid-market businesses which demonstrate downside resilience, competitive market positioning and attractive growth prospects.

Job description:

We are seeking to hire an Analyst into our London-based investment team, to support the origination, due diligence and execution of transactions. The Analyst will assist the Investment team with all areas of the investment process and the ongoing monitoring of Apera’s investments.

Main responsibilities:

* Assisting in the execution of all aspects of the deal process and subsequent portfolio management;
* End-to-end assessment of investment opportunities, including review of transaction documentation and attending management presentations / due diligence sessions;
* Financial modelling and scenario analysis;
* Providing input in the writing and presentation of Investment Committee memos;
* Interacting with advisors, lawyers, management teams and sponsors;
* Assisting in all aspects of ongoing portfolio monitoring and reporting.

Qualifications:

* Undergraduate degree from a Top Tier university (2:1 or higher);
* Strong financial and analytical ability with clear understanding of financial statements and ability to build and interrogate an integrated 3-statement model;
* Self-starter with an ability to communicate effectively and meet various deadlines;
* Understanding of European mid-market private investing;
* 1-3 years relevant experience (in Private Credit, Private Equity or M&A / debt advisory / Transaction Services);
* Fluency in English (spoken and written) is essential.
