We're seeking a reliable, caring, and proactive personal assistant to join Joe's small yet dedicated team. Joe is recovering from a brain injury and making great progress toward independence. Your support will help him build confidence, keep structure in his daily life, and make the most of outings and activities.
This isn't a standard 9-to-5 role; it's an immersive, live-in-style position where you'll work three days straight and there for night support, then enjoy six days completely free. It's perfect for someone who values meaningful work, variety, and work-life balance.
Full UK Manual Driving License required & DBS check required.
Key Responsibilities
Support my son with daily routines and rehab activities
Join him on adventures - from day trips to camper van getaways
Provide a calm, steady presence and encouragement
Sleep-in overnight (9 hrs) - resting, but available if needed
Respond calmly to occasional frustrations or challenges
Communicate and coordinate with Joe and his support team
Who We're Looking For
This role will suit someone who is:
Creative, empathetic, and motivated to help others thrive
Patient and calm when navigating challenges
A confident driver (manual license essential - camper van included)
Comfortable with a 3-day live-in schedule, including overnights
Reliable, proactive, and great at working independently
Experience for the role is not essential, but a willingness to learn is essential.
Commitment to work on a rotational basis
Happy to travel and enjoy a changing routine
Flexible work approach, can work long placements
Supporting with time and energy for general rehab daily requirements and social life
Light housekeeping, healthy meal prep, and general reminders, including medication.
Assistance with mobility, daily routines and some personal care,
