As the Project Configuration Manager, you will be working alongside a market-leading Defence and Aerospace company who are constantly growing and developing. You will be involved in:
Responsibilities and Qualifications
* Act as the Project Change Leader (PCL) for Changes in the Wing perimeter, and be a leader of the Multi-Functional Team (MFT)
* Responsible to lead and coordinate all required contributors (engineering, chief engineering, manufacturing engineering, procurement, supply chain, customer services, product offer, FAL, Finance/Finance Control, Configuration experts…) during the Change Request lifecycle
* Drive the Change Request through the Full Change Process, building up a full dossier including budget coverage, technical impacts, manufacturing impacts, supply chain impacts, costs, schedule, point of embodiment, risks & opportunities
* Lead the alignment across functions and suppliers to negotiate, arbitrate, ensure progress and solve conflicts
* Accountable for the correct implementation of the change on the aircraft, according to the Decision Board mandate, on time, on cost and on quality
* Manage the inflow, workload and prioritisation in dialogue with other functions
* Highlight issues and risks, propose recovery plans if needed and elevate internally
* Report status and progress in business review for the portfolio (progress, risks, planning)
* Identify activities to offload through subcontracting
* Identifies Risks & Opportunities to be raised in ARM (Aircraft Risk Management)
* Define mitigation and action plans and regularly report on progress and status, in coordination with the local Risk & Opps representative
* The jobholder also acts as Central Program representative in the Alternative Material Concession Crisis (AMCC) Board to ensure the pro-active and consistent management of obsolescence and material shortages.
* Degree in engineering or equivalent with proven experience
* Knowledge of the overall configuration management process (CM certification would be a plus)
* Project Management skills (PM certification would be a plus)
* Airframe engineering knowledge
* Ability to negotiate and take initiative
