Overview
Deloitte’s Insurance Audit and Assurance Group delivers high‑value audit and assurance services to large insurance brokers and insurers in the UK, working closely with global teams.
Responsibilities
* Advising clients on IFRS and UK GAAP accounting queries
* Assessing the impact of new accounting standards such as IFRS 9 and IFRS 17 and assisting clients with implementation
* Performing accounting policy reviews and financial statement reviews
* Drafting technical accounting papers
* Supporting clients with financial reporting processes
* Advising on Solvency II methodology
* Providing analytics support to clients
Qualifications
* Experience working in or with the audit department of a large financial services organisation, or within the insurance industry
* Knowledge of IFRS, UK GAAP and/or Solvency II
* Strong understanding of the insurance industry
* Ability to build strong client relationships
* Relevant accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA or equivalent)
* Commercial awareness of current economic and market trends
* Knowledge of developments in insurance regulation
* Strong analytical skills
* Self‑starter with a questioning mindset
* Collaborative, team‑player attitude
* Strong report‑writing, presentation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage at all levels
Working Conditions
Position based in London with hybrid working arrangements. Candidates may work in the local office, via virtual collaboration spaces, client sites or remotely, depending on role requirements.
