Job Description
The Accounts Payable clerk's responsibilities:
3. Process supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
4. Maintain up-to-date and accurate accounts payable records.
5. Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
6. Assist with payment processing and ensure deadlines are met.
7. Collaborate with internal teams to address and resolve invoicing queries.
8. Support month-end closing activities, including reporting.
9. Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations.
10. Provide general administrative support to the Accounting & Finance department.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Accounts Payable Clerk should have:
11. Experience in accounts payable or a similar role in the transport and distribution sector.
12. Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
13. Proficiency with accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
14. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
15. Good communication skills for liaising with suppliers and internal teams.
16. A proactive approach to problem-solving and managing workload.
