This is an energy trading and infrastructure asset investment firm, powered by deep fundamental research and advanced analytics. Now looking for experienced engineers in any programming language to join the Data Science & Technology team in London.
This team is pivotal in giving the firm a competitive edge, and this role offers the opportunity to build solutions that have a direct commercial impact from day one. Solving complex, high-impact challenges using a modern technology stack, everything is developed in cloud-native infrastructure from real-time analytics to backtesting engines, to third party integrations and internal libraries. A few examples of what you’ll do:
1. Partner directly with traders & analysts to engineer and optimize trading processes and strategies.
2. Build and maintain scalable, high-performance Python services and APIs
3. Design and implement cloud-native tools that integrate seamlessly into the Front Office platform
4. Design and build a robust, reusable framework to support back-testing activities

Requirements
5. Strong professional experience in any programming language (Python highly beneficial)
6. Proficiency in SQL and relational database technologies
7. Familiarity with DevOps practices
8. Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical colleagues
Desirable
9. Exposure to AWS & Snowflake technologies
10. Experience building or working on back testing engines and systematic trading
11. Experience in energy or commodities trading
