Location: Halifax
Position: Full-Time
40 hours per week
Salary: £12.85 - £13.51 per hour (approx. £26,728 - £28,100 annually)
Shift Pattern: 12-hour shifts - Days & Nights (9am-9pm and 9pm-9am)
Requirements: Must be at least 23 years of age

About the Role
This role involves working in a specialist care and education setting for children and young people aged 11-19, who have complex needs such as Autism, Learning Disabilities, Mental Health issues, and other health needs.
As a Residential Support Worker, you should be motivated, committed, and genuinely interested in providing high-quality care. You will support the care team, contributing to positive outcomes for the children and young people, and help develop the service.
You will work within a multidisciplinary team including clinical staff, education, and social workers to achieve the best outcomes.
Qualifications
It is desirable to hold a Diploma 3 or 4 in Health and Social Care; however, applicants without this qualification will also be considered.
Responsibilities
1. Respond to and meet the needs of children/young people as per individual care plans.
2. Work in partnership with families, social workers, and relevant agencies.
3. Ensure compliance with legislative, procedural, and best practice standards.
4. Prioritize the safety and welfare of young people.
5. Participate in daily care tasks, akin to good parenting.
6. Implement, monitor, and review care, health, and education plans.
7. Assist in managing admissions and ensure smooth operation of the home.
8. Act as a key worker for individual young people as assigned.
9. Safeguard and promote the welfare and rights of children and young people.
10. Engage children and young people in the home’s daily activities and their care plans.
11. Contribute to discharge and after-care planning.
