This role plays a key role in financial control, performance reporting, budgeting and forecasting, helping the business to understand performance, manage costs and drive continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities: Financial reporting Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts, including profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow reporting and associated KPIs Assist in month-end processes, ensuring journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet account reconciliations are completed in accordance with policies and deadlines Ensure compliance with UK accounting standards (e.g.
UK GAAP or IFRS) Cash Flow Support cash flow forecasting and working capital management Internal Controls, Compliance and Audit Maintain strong financial controls and processes Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations (VAT, corporation tax, CIS) Assist with year-end audit preparation and statutory reporting Budgeting & Forecasting Assist with the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes, working closely with budget holders and senior leaders Produce meaningful financial analysis and commentary to explain business performance, trends, risks and opportunities Assist with creating and developing financial models to support business case development, commercial modelling and scenario analysis, using multiple data sources.
