The Pupil Reintegration Team is seeking to appoint a Casework Assistant tosupporta team of caseworkers by contributing to the delivery of Services for pupils at risk of permanent exclusion and those pupils who are experiencing social,emotionaland/or mental health difficulties.

About You

The successful candidate will have the following:

• Ability to communicatesensitively and effectively with Headteachers, governors, Children's Services colleagues,

parents and a range of professionals.

• Excellent relationship building andinterpersonalskills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to produce a wide range of non-standard written communications.

•Empathyand the ability to deal withsensitiveemotive issues effectively

• Ability to use initiative and be resourceful.

• Effective time management and ability torespondto changing priorities

• Highly developed IT skills and experience of using Microsoft Office and database systems

• You will need to be resilient andunderstand the importance of diversity and have a clear focus on safeguarding all young people

• A minimum of 5 GCSE's including English and Mathematics

Working arrangements regarding hybrid working will be discussed as part of the appointment process.

Our technology platform and equipment is very good enabling you to connect and collaborate remotely.We require that you have in place good connectivity, and we will discuss during the recruitment process if support with this is needed.

Fluency Duty

In accordance with Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 (Fluency Duty), the ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
