Optime Group are looking for Banks People to join one of our prestigious clients based at Luton Airport. The role offers a fantastic opportunity to build a career within a leading logistics business at the airport.
What's on Offer:
* Rate of Pay: £14.12 per hour (plus Holiday and Pension)
* Hours: Working between the hours of 04:00 to 22:00 - Average of 6-hour shifts but could increase to 8 to 12 hour shifts in peak periods.
* Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off
* Shift working timings include: early starts, late finishes, nights, weekdays and weekends.
* Staff parking.
* Weekly pay (Every Friday)
* Temp to Perm (performance-based)
Key Duties:
* Complete the Daily Equipment Check Sheet to maintain operational reliability of equipment, reporting any defects in line with the Equipment Inspection procedure.
* Deliver or collect special assistance passengers at the aircraft door, supporting safe transfer to their seat or wheelchair using appropriate manual handling techniques. Maintain a professional, polite and courteous approach at all times.
* Carry out Customer Agent (CA) duties as directed by Allocations Control, including escorting arriving and departing special assistance passengers (and accompanying family members where required) through the airport on foot or by wheelchair, and assisting with the safe guidance of vehicles where necessary.
* Provide assistance with passenger baggage as required.
* Ensure all wheelchairs, slings and aisle chairs are clean, tidy and maintained in accordance with health and safety policies.
* Keep Allocations Control updated on progress using IT handsets.
* Complete all necessary paperwork accurately, legibly and within required timeframes.
* Undertake any additional reasonable duties as assigned by operational management.
Requirements:
* Must hold a valid UK driving license.
* Previous Airline &/or Airport experience is desired although not essential as full training will be provided.
* Basic IT Skills
* Great understanding of the English language.
* Drivers who are passionate and take pride in their work.
* Must be able to provide 5-year checkable history, in order for us to obtain your blue airside pass.
* A second interview with our client will be required in order to be successful in the interview process.
Shifts:
* Shift working timings include: early starts, late finishes, nights, weekdays and weekends.
* Shift timings are affected and influenced by the airline schedules and are subject to change.
