We have an exciting opportunity for an HR Advisor to join our Cluster HR Team, supporting both the Kimpton Charlotte Square and InterContinental Edinburgh The George. This is a varied role combining core HR advisory responsibilities with a strong focus on training, onboarding, and colleague development.
About the role
As our HR Advisor, you’ll work closely with the HR Business Partner and HR Assistant to provide professional, hands-on HR support across the colleague lifecycle. You’ll also play a lead role in delivering engaging training, onboarding, and compliance programs to ensure our teams are well-supported and set up for success.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Supporting employee relations matters, ensuring fair and consistent processes.
* Coordinating recruitment, onboarding, and induction processes across both hotels.
* Leading compliance and core skills training to ensure standards are met.
* Partnering with Heads of Department to create and deliver development initiatives that enhance skills and performance.
* Monitoring training records, compliance, and HR metrics.
* Supporting wellbeing, engagement, and diversity initiatives.
* Driving continuous improvement in HR and training practices.
To succeed as an HR Advisor, you will need:
* Experience in an HR Advisory or HR Officer role, ideally within hospitality or a fast-paced service environment.
* A passion for learning and development, with experience delivering or coordinating training.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – able to build trust at all levels.
* Highly organised with attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
* Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload.
