Day Rate: Up to £275 per day, depending on experienceAbout the Organisation:Hays are working with a well‑established and growing manufacturing organisation based in the Plymouth area who are seeking an experienced Interim Management Accountant to support its expanding finance team. As the business continues to scale, additional financial capability is needed to strengthen reporting, analysis, and operational support.Reason for Vacancy:This role has arisen due to growth within the finance team, reflecting the organisation’s continued expansion and increased operational demands.The Role:You will deliver accurate and insightful management reporting, supporting both the finance function and wider operational teams. This position offers the opportunity to work in a fast‑paced environment, providing meaningful financial analysis that helps guide decision‑making and supports efficiency improvements across the business.Key Responsibilities:
1. Preparation of monthly management accounts, forecasts, and variance analysis
2. Supporting budgeting cycles and long‑term financial planning
3. Assistance with year‑end processes and audit preparation
4. Providing financial insight to operational and senior management teams
5. Supporting process improvements within the finance function
6. Ensuringpliance with financial standards and internal controls
About You:
7. Qualified or part‑qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or QBE
8. Strong experience in producing management accounts
9. Manufacturing sector experience is not required
10. Confident working in a dynamic, fast‑moving environment
11. Available to start in February 2026
