The successful candidate will head up the design team, to provide leadership and guidance to the small team of Design Engineers. Lead Mechanical Design Engineer Position Overview Managing the small team of designer engineers through allocating work and prioritising to meet production deadlines Interpreting design briefs, and chairing design meetings Taking a hands-on approach to design in assisting the creation of 3D models and FEA analysis with the use of PTC Creo Creating and updating Bill of Materials, and liaising with suppliers on parts. Lead Mechanical Design Engineer Position Requirements 5+ years of Design Engineering / Management experience within a sheet metal fabrication related industry A knowledge of electricals, hydraulics and plumbing systems Proficient with 3D modelling software such as Solidworks, Creo or Inventor.
