🔧 The Role
In this role, you’ll manage the procurement of goods, materials, and services essential to operations — ensuring best value, quality, and timely delivery.
You’ll work closely with the Purchasing Manager to:
* Develop and implement sourcing strategies across multiple categories.
* Lead supplier negotiations and manage performance improvement plans.
* Conduct market analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
* Support new product introduction (NPI) projects and engineering changes.
* Drive continuous improvement in procurement processes and systems.
🎯 About You
You’ll be an experienced procurement or materials professional with strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
Ideally, you’ll bring:
* HND or equivalent qualification (MCIPS advantageous).
* Extensive experience in materials control or purchasing within a manufacturing environment.
* Knowledge of MRP or ERP systems (Oracle experience desirable).
* A proactive, analytical, and results-driven approach.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence at all levels.

* Based in Wellingborough area (East Midlands)
* Monday–Thursday: 8:00–16:30
* Friday: 8:00–13:30
* Flexibility and occasional travel may be required.
