We are seeking an experienced and strategic HR Director to lead HR operations across the region Western Europe (UK/Ireland, Southern Europe, Northern Europe) while also driving global organizational development. The position can be based in Armitage, Milan, Brussels or Mettlach.
In this key role, you will shape and enhance the company’s organizational structure, culture, and workforce effectiveness. You will design and implement development programs, lead change management initiatives, and support leadership in building a high‑performing and engaged workforce.
Additionally, you will be responsible for aligning people strategies with business objectives, ensuring compliance with local labour laws, and optimizing HR workflows—leveraging Workday—to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Responsibilities
* Strategic Business Partner: Develop and implement HR strategies that align with business objectives. Employee Engagement, Performance Management, Succession Planning and Talent Management should be aligned with the overall HR strategy to recognize early potential skill and capability gaps.
* Team Lead: Lead and develop your own team within the region.
* Coach and Champion: Challenge and coach leaders to ensure proper implementation of company strategy, focusing on the talent pipeline.
* Data‑Driven HR: Leverage data insights, measure value created, and control HR data quality. Analyze HR dashboards and provide recommendations to grow the business and enhance HR efficiency.
* Change Agent & Future‑Shaper: Support leaders while implementing company business goals, drive integration during the Ideal Standard acquisition, manage change, and promote HR influence across the organization.
Qualifications
* 8+ years of HR experience in an international group environment with at least 4 years in a leadership role.
* Proven track record in HR strategy, leadership, and business partnering.
* Strong understanding of employment laws and labour relations across multiple European countries.
* Experience negotiating with unions and restructuring organisations.
* Human Capital Management System: Workday (preferred).
* Analytical thinking and data‑driven decision making.
* Hands‑on and “Can do” mentality with a big‑picture mindset.
* Willingness to take on operational tasks within your defined area of responsibility.
* Experience in employee/organizational development and coaching of leaders.
* Excellent communication skills in English; additional European languages are a plus.
