About the Role
As an Activities Co‑ordinator at HC‑One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. In this role you will plan and implement activities that delight our Residents, support the Home Manager with fundraising events, and help the care home team create engaging activities based on Residents’ hobbies. You will also look after the residents’ confidence, promote socialisation and ensure the overall activity programme is enjoyable and meaningful.
Responsibilities
* Plan, coordinate and run activities for residents.
* Collaborate with the Home Manager to organise fundraising events.
* Facilitate resident participation and confidence building.
* Develop new activity ideas tailored to resident interests.
* Engage residents, co‑workers and families with kindness and empathy.
* Maintain accurate activity records and support digital care planning initiatives.
* Ensure all activity planning complies with safeguarding and health & safety policies.
Qualifications
* Experience working with vulnerable individuals, ideally in a care or community setting.
* Background in developing or delivering activity programmes.
* Excellent planning, organisational and IT skills.
* Effective time‑management and the ability to prioritise tasks.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact considerately with residents and colleagues.
* Up‑to‑date safeguarding training and a willingness to complete additional training.
Safeguarding
Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. You must recognise signs of possible abuse, harm or neglect and know the proper response. All colleagues attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role and undertake additional training as required.
