Are you a Psychology graduate looking to gain valuable experience in education, mental health, or therapeutic support? Do you have experience working within CAMHS, youth services, residential care, or supporting young people with additional needs?
We are recruiting passionate, resilient, and dedicated individuals to join a specialist Secondary SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) SEND setting in the Dovecot area of Liverpool for the upcoming academic year. This rewarding full-time role involves supporting students aged 11–16 who require additional emotional, behavioural, and educational support to achieve their full potential.
The Role
1. Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEMH needs.
2. Build positive relationships that promote engagement, confidence, and emotional wellbeing.
3. Support students both inside and outside the classroom.
4. Assist with behaviour regulation strategies and pastoral interventions.
5. Work closely with teachers, pastoral teams, and external professionals to support student progress.
Ideal Candidates Will Have:
6. A degree in Psychology or a related field.
7. Previous experience within CAMHS, mental health services, youth work, residential care, or SEND settings.
8. Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
9. A calm, patient, and empathetic approach.
10. A genuine passion for supporting young people facing social, emotional, and mental health challenges.
11. The ability to remain resilient and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
