A well-established disputes practice in Jersey is looking to appoint a senior litigation lawyer to support its continued growth across complex, cross-border matters. The team is regularly instructed on high-value commercial disputes, often involving multi-jurisdictional elements and close coordination with onshore counsel. This role sits at the heart of the practice. Responsibility extends beyond supporting partners, with day-to-day ownership of matters, direct client contact and a clear role in shaping case strategy. The position also carries meaningful involvement in mentoring junior lawyers and contributing to the development of the wider team. Work will include advising on a broad range of contentious matters, managing proceedings from early stages through to resolution, preparing detailed pleadings and submissions, and ensuring matters are delivered efficiently in line with client expectations and budgets. Applicants should: Be admitted in a recognised common law jurisdiction (E&W/AUS/NZ/CAN) Have c5-8 years’ PQE with strong litigation experience from a leading firm Demonstrate experience handling complex disputes and managing files with a high degree of autonomy Be comfortable engaging directly with clients and building lasting relationships Bring a commercially aware and measured approach to case management and decision-making Have experience supervising or mentoring junior lawyers The firm offers a competitive offshore package, including tax-efficient salary, bonus, pension and private medical cover, alongside high-quality work and genuine scope for progression within a collaborative environment.
