Location: Hailsham, East Sussex, UKSalary: Up to £45,000 DOEJob Type: Full-Time, PermanentOverviewWe have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Quality Engineer to join a highly respected engineering and manufacturing business specialising in precision-engineered products and advanced manufacturing processes.This role will involve leading continuous improvement activities, managing quality investigations, supporting customer and supplier quality processes, and driving permanent corrective actions across manufacturing operations.You will play a key role in root cause analysis, non-conformance management, customer complaint resolution, and improving overall product quality in line with industry standards and customer expectations.Working HoursFull-time permanent positionFlexible shifts within opening hours Monday to ThursdayEarly finish on FridaysNo weekend workQualificationsDegree qualified in Mechanical Engineering preferredONC/HNC in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or relevant Quality qualification advantageousEssential RequirementsCandidates will only be considered if they meet all essential requirements below:Minimum 5 years experience within a manufacturing or precision engineering environmentStrong experience using Continuous Improvement tools and methodologiesExperience leading root cause investigations and corrective actionsStrong understanding of quality management tools including 8D, 5 Whys, Kaizen, Pareto, VSM, Ishikawa, and 5S/6SExperience managing NCRs, customer complaints, RMAs, or corrective action processesStructured and detail-oriented approach to problem-solvingStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsAbility to lead or coordinate cross-functional improvement activitiesProactive and improvement-driven mindsetDesirable RequirementsExperience using CMM, Faro Arm, or metrology equipmentPrevious vacuum industry or vacuum science experienceExperience within a machine shop or precision manufacturing environmentApply NowIf you are an experienced Quality Engineer looking to join a forward-thinking engineering business offering long-term career progression and a technically advanced environment, apply today with your latest CV.Due to the high volume of applications Recruited UK receives, we will make every effort to respond with feedback although this is not always possible.
