Hull is supported by strong, well-established multi-agency partnerships working collaboratively to safeguard children, young people and their families, underpinned by a shared commitment to continuous improvement and achieving positive outcomes. Working closely with the Head of Safeguarding Partnerships, you will play a key role in strengthening and developing safeguarding practice, under the Hull Safeguarding Children Partnership (HSCP) arrangements. You will support the delivery of HSCP priorities, driving forward improvement activity and ensuring that learning informs practice across all agencies. A central aspect of the role will be building and maintaining strong, effective relationships with partners and stakeholders across the HSCP. You will actively support activity under the HSCP structure, to ensure that all organisations involved in safeguarding are fully engaged, working collaboratively, and contributing to the shared goal of keeping children and young people safe. You will play an integral role in ensuring that information is effectively shared across the partnership, with a clear emphasis on accuracy, relevance and accessibility for all agencies involved in safeguarding children and young people. Strong organisational and coordination skills will be essential, enabling you to manage competing priorities, support the delivery of partnership work programmes and monitor progress against agreed objectives. The role will involve representing HSCP at regional and national multi-agency forums, contributing to the continuous development of safeguarding practice by ensuring that emerging best practice, policy developments and research are effectively disseminated and embedded locally. You will bring a strong foundation of safeguarding expertise, including a sound understanding of safeguarding children legislation and statutory guidance such as Working Together to Safeguard Children 2026. You will demonstrate proven experience of working collaboratively within multi-agency environments, building and maintaining effective relationships with statutory and voluntary sector partners. Highly developed communication skills are important for this role, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and appropriately to a range of audiences. Alongside this, you will possess strong analytical capability, enabling you to interpret data, identify key themes and trends, and contribute to the development of high-quality reports, audits and improvement activity. A high level of attention to detail is essential, particularly in the production of accurate reports and documentation to support partnership governance. You will also provide professional consultation and guidance to practitioners, supporting the continuous improvement of safeguarding practice, policy and procedure across the Hull Safeguarding Children Partnership. If you are passionate about safeguarding, thrive in partnership environments, and are committed to making a difference, we would welcome your application.
