Calshot Activities Centre is one of six centres operated by Hampshire Outdoor Centres, known for delivering high-quality outdoor education across Hampshire and Wales. We're proud of our reputation for excellence, professionalism, and operating to the highest standards.
The Role:
As an Activity Leader at Calshot, you'll be part of a passionate team dedicated to delivering meaningful outdoor learning experiences. You'll primarily work with school groups, supporting their personal development through immersive, group-based activities. Wherever possible, our instructors follow a group throughout their stay, building rapport and delivering a wide range of land and water-based sessions.

What you'll do:
* Deliver engaging outdoor activities that promote teamwork, confidence, and personal growth.
* Support school groups throughout their residential experience, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
* Teach a variety of land and water-based activities, depending on your skills and qualifications.
* Contribute to the centre's commitment to high standards of safety, professionalism, and educational value.
What we're looking for:
* Enthusiastic and motivated individuals who believe in the value of outdoor learning.
* A minimum of one relevant NGB instructor qualification (e.g. watersports, climbing, skiing, etc.).
* Experience working in an outdoor centre with some teaching or instructional background.
* Skills in any activity offered at our centres are advantageous. We also welcome applicants with broad outdoor experience and a passion for teaching.
Why join us?
* Be part of a supportive and professional team with a shared passion for outdoor education.
* Opportunities for career progression within Hampshire Outdoor Centres.
* Comprehensive induction and training programme.
* A chance to make a real difference in the lives of young people.
Our benefits package includes generous holiday entitlement, access to the Local Government Pension Scheme, family-friendly policies, interest-free travel loans, and staff discounts. We offer a flexible, inclusive, and motivating workplace where you'll be empowered to thrive and grow in your role.
