The Manufacturing Mechatronic Technician performs and ensures that the manufacturing equipment is in working condition, providing the necessary preventive and corrective maintenance to facilitate production without defects caused by the equipment.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with the maintenance of high-volume automated production equipment and machinery, including electrical, pneumatic and mechanical fault finding and repair.
* Conduct planned and preventative maintenance of production equipment.
* Perform machine and production setup and changes.
* Assist with continuous improvements to high-volume automated production equipment and machinery.
* Maintain documentation and records, including technical documents and reports.
Qualifications
* Time served apprentice qualified to HNC (minimum) in Electrical & Electronic or Manufacturing Engineering, or Level 4 Qualification (NVQ/HNC).
* Minimum of two years’ work experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
* Technical experience in maintenance and fault finding on electrical, pneumatic and mechanical systems.
* Familiar with mechanical drives and conveyor systems, electro‑pneumatics, electrical control systems, PLC (any language).
* Previous experience with automated production equipment, PLC, robotic control, camera scanning and imaging systems, combined with sound knowledge of mechanics.
* Must have permanent right to work in the NI.
