RSNW LTD are working with a client based in Trafford Park in search of a resourceful and proficient Accounts Payable Clerk to join their longstanding team.
The Role: Our client is a company dedicated to tailoring bespoke travel experiences, vacations and travel itineraries. As they continue to grow, they are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Payable Clerk to join our finance department.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Statement verification- Verifies supplier accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.
• Maintains accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions.
• Verify that transactions comply with financial policies and procedures.
• Maintaining records on our in-house bespoke system.
• Process back up reports after data entry.
• Set invoices up for payment.
• Processing of monthly/bi-monthly & weekly payment schedules.
• Enter and upload invoices into system.
• Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date.
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues.
• Correspond with suppliers and respond to inquiries.
• Dealing with high volume and high value transactions.
• Reconciliation of Accounts Payable ledger with the General Ledger control account.
• Foreign Exchange transactions.
• Ad-hoc projects as requested by the Accounts Manager.
• Administration; filing, faxing, scanning, emailing and distribution of office mail.
Skills and experience:
• Strong attention to detail.
• Organised and efficient.
• Good communication skills.
• Confident using telephones.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft.
• Accounts payable experience- minimum of 2 years experience.
• Processing of high volume of invoices.
• Travel industry experience (desirable).
• Banking industry experience (desirable).
